Applications of Xylene
Xylene is supplied as a commercial mixture of ortho-, meta-, and para-isomers. Its primary petrochemical use is as a precursor to PTA (purified terephthalic acid), the monomer for PET polyester. As an industrial solvent, xylene effectively dissolves epoxy and alkyd resins, rubber, and many natural gums.
Grades and Packaging
We supply mixed xylene and can source specific isomers on request. Available in 200 L drums, 1,000 L IBCs, and bulk tankers. Shipments include TDG-compliant documentation and SDSs as standard.
