MXDA in Epoxy Coatings and Barrier Films
m-Xylylenediamine contains two primary amine groups on a meta-xylene core, imparting aromatic rigidity and fast cure kinetics to epoxy systems. MXDA-cured epoxies exhibit excellent chemical resistance, hardness, and adhesion to steel and concrete, making them popular in industrial floor coatings and marine primers. In the packaging industry, the polyamide MXD6 derived from MXDA provides outstanding oxygen-barrier properties in multilayer films.
Packaging and Lead Times
Terracore sources MXDA from established Asian producers and maintains stock in 200 L drums. Lead times for non-stocked quantities are typically 4–6 weeks. Moisture-sensitive material is supplied under nitrogen blanket with desiccant. Full COA and SDS are provided.
