What is Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid)?

Pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5) is a water-soluble B-vitamin and the essential precursor for Coenzyme A (CoA), which is central to fatty acid metabolism, energy production via the citric acid cycle, and the synthesis of steroid hormones and neurotransmitters.
