IBVE in Living and Cationic Polymerisation
Isobutyl vinyl ether is one of the most studied monomers for living cationic polymerisation, enabling precise control of molecular weight and block-copolymer architecture. Well-defined IBVE polymers and block copolymers are used in research for drug delivery, self-healing coatings, and thermoresponsive materials. Industrially, IBVE is an important reactive diluent in cationic UV-curing systems based on photo-generated superacid initiators, where it contributes flexibility and adhesion.
Supply
Terracore supplies IBVE in 180 kg steel drums with alkaline stabiliser. Storage below 20 °C is recommended. COA and SDS are provided with each shipment.
Applications
- Cationic living polymerisation substrate
