What is Potassium Iodate?

Potassium Iodate (KIO₃) is the preferred feed-grade iodine supplement due to its superior stability compared to Potassium Iodide (KI), which is prone to oxidative loss of iodine under humid conditions and in the presence of other mineral salts in premixes. With 59.3% iodine content and high purity of at least 99%, potassium iodate is the standard iodine source in premix manufacturing, providing reliable iodine delivery across a range of storage conditions and feed matrix types.
