ZDHDC as a Rubber Vulcanisation Accelerator
Zinc dihexyldithiocarbamate (ZDHDC) belongs to the dithiocarbamate family of ultra-fast rubber accelerators. Its long hexyl chains render it liquid at room temperature and highly oil-soluble, simplifying incorporation into rubber compounds and latex. Compared to shorter-chain zinc diethyldithiocarbamate (ZDEC), ZDHDC provides improved scorch safety and reduced tendency to bloom. It is used both as a primary accelerator in fast-cure latex systems and as a secondary booster in sulfenamide-primary compound systems.
Supply and Documentation
Terracore supplies ZDHDC in 200 L steel drums. COA reports active content, specific gravity, and viscosity. SDS with occupational exposure and aquatic toxicity guidance is provided. This product is for industrial rubber compounding use only.
