Aerosil® Brand Fumed Silica
Aerosil® is the original branded fumed silica from EVONIK Industries and is available in a wide range of surface areas and surface treatments. Aerosil 200 (BET 200 m²/g, hydrophilic) is the most widely used grade for rheology control in coatings and adhesives. Aerosil R 972 (hydrophobic, dimethyldichlorosilane-treated) is popular in low-polarity coating systems and as a free-flow agent in powder systems. Pharmaceutical grades comply with Ph.Eur. and USP/NF monographs for colloidal silicon dioxide.
