AEP in Epoxy and Gas-Treatment Industries
Aminoethylpiperazine combines a primary amine with a piperazine ring, giving it rapid cure reactivity with epoxy resins alongside good flexibility in the cured network. It is used both as a standalone epoxy hardener and as a co-hardener to modify the properties of DETA or TETA cured systems. In gas treatment its cyclic amine structure provides selectivity for CO₂ and H₂S absorption.
Packaging and Availability
Terracore supplies AEP in 200 L steel drums. Lead times are typically 2–4 weeks from order confirmation. COA and SDS documentation accompany each shipment; customers are encouraged to conduct small-scale trials to confirm compatibility with their specific resin systems.
Applications
- Epoxy hardener and curing agent
- Gas treating (CO₂/H₂S absorption)
- Chelant intermediate synthesis
- Pharmaceutical building block
- Textile softener and conditioner
- Corrosion inhibitor
