Formamide in Industry
Formamide is the simplest amide compound and a versatile polar solvent and chemical intermediate. In the paper and textile industries it is used as a softening and wetting agent. Its ability to denature DNA makes it an essential reagent in molecular biology applications. Industrially it is converted to formic acid, HCN, and various nitrogen-containing heterocycles.
Packaging and Supply
We supply formamide in 200 L drums and 1,000 L IBCs. Standard technical grade is stocked; higher-purity grades for laboratory or pharmaceutical use can be sourced on request. COA and SDS are issued with each shipment.
