CHVE for High-Tg UV-Curable Coatings
Cyclohexyl vinyl ether is valued in cationic UV-cure formulations because its bulky cycloaliphatic ring raises the glass transition temperature of the resulting polymer network, yielding hard, scratch-resistant, and optically clear coatings. It is used in combination with low-Tg reactive diluents such as nBVE or IBVE to balance flexibility with hardness. Applications include optical lens coatings, hard-coat films for electronics, and high-performance printing varnishes.
Packaging and Supply
CHVE is supplied in 180 kg steel drums. It is an inhibited liquid stored below 25 °C. Terracore provides COA (purity by GC, acidity, inhibitor content) and SDS with each delivery.
