N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone is one of the most powerful polar aprotic solvents available, combining high boiling point, excellent chemical stability, and outstanding solvency for polymers, resins, and active pharmaceutical ingredients. Its primary growth application is in lithium-ion battery manufacturing, where it disperses PVDF binder and NMC/LFP cathode powders into homogenous slurries for electrode coating.
