Vitamin Premixes Supplier South Africa

What are Vitamin Premixes?

Vitamin premixes are carefully blended combinations of individual vitamins in specified ratios, carried on a suitable carrier material such as limestone or wheat middlings, and designed for accurate inclusion into complete animal feeds. They simplify feed mill operations by replacing multiple individual vitamin additions with a single, fully homogeneous blend that delivers all required fat- and water-soluble vitamins.

Rol in diervoeding

Vitamins are required in small but precise amounts and their deficiency can cause severe production losses, poor feed conversion, and increased disease susceptibility. A well-formulated vitamin premix ensures that all vitamins are delivered at correct levels, accounting for stability losses during feed processing and storage. Premix design must consider vitamin-vitamin interactions, inclusion level, carrier selection, and the specific physiological needs of the target species and production stage.
